This was a fishing trip where I can honestly say, I was just happy to be out there.

One of the most unique features of this barrier island, is its chain of connected freshwater lakes, something rarely found on other Gulf Coastal islands. The ancient dune and swale system supports a hydrology that provides the island’s fish, mammals, birds and reptiles, with fresh water year-round.
